What kind of cases do you handle?
The Law Offices of Jeffrey C. Gonzales is a full-service law firm, concentrating on immigration law. We have special expertise in work visas, family based visas, visa waivers, green cards through family and employment and asylum. We are well known for our zealous and creative advocacy on behalf of our clients.
My family member is being held by Immigration in the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma or another Detention Center. Is there a way to get them out?
Yes. We may be able to get many people out of the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma or other Detention Centers on bond. Each case is different, and we must speak with you about your case before giving legal advice that is applicable.
My spouse, child or family member is present in the U.S. illegally (entered illegally or entered legally and is now out of status). Is there a way to make them legal?
Yes. We may be able to help your family member get their green card in the U.S. or we may be able to help your family member get their green card through a U.S. Consulate abroad through a process we call consular processing. Each case is different, and we must speak with you about your case before giving legal advice that is applicable.
Do you charge for the initial appointment?
Yes, we charge $150 for your first 30 minute consultation. However, if you choose to employ our firm within 5 business days of your initial consultation we will deduct the consultation fee from any attorney fees. Put in another way, we will refund the consultation fee should you choose to have our firm handle your case within 5 business days of your consultation.

If I am located outside of Oregon, will your firm still help me?
Absolutely. Since immigration law is federal law we regularly take cases from clients throughout the United States and around the world.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and wire transfers.
